Bob Whitworth
Copywriter / Ad Pro

Copy that makes your customers say, "I want that!"

Elected to "Who's Who in Advertising,"
"Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America."

You work hard to
run your business.

I'm here to make your
advertising and marketing
work harder for you.

Hi! Welcome to The Ad Pro.

My name is Bob Whitworth. I'm a New York trained professional Copywriter,
Consultant, and Problem-Solver.

Whether your writing need is hi-tech, low-tech, or no-tech -- straight corporate, warped creative, or 'Heart of America' -- I'll give you copy that makes customers say, "I want that!" In my online portfolio, you'll see a wide spectrum of marketing materials. They cover a range from my first ads -- to the present. All have been very successful in selling my clients' products and services.

With over 2 decades of Madison Ave. experience, I walk the talk. My copy is always energized to get results for you -- to make customers say, "I want that!" And it hits the mark consistently. I also think visually --and conceptually. In addition to numerous national and international copy awards, a number of my ad/concepts have also won Art Director awards.

And while awards are nice -- sales are what really count. Every client -- large, medium or small -- deserves the same high-level quality of copy to generate more sales. That's what I deliver for you.

I have successfully written for just about every marketing discipline, from print ads, radio and television -- to billboards, brochures, catalogs, direct mail, media kits, newsletters, sales letters and web content.

I've written highly effective sales-producing copy for more than 100 agencies, clients, and corporations, including: A & P, BIC, IBM, BMW, Chase, Car & Driver, Colgate-Palmolive, Dr. Pepper, Johnson Chemical, Kodak, KFC, Mobile Chemical, Nabisco, NEBS, Oracle Software Solutions, Pathmark Supermarkets, Pontiac, Prince Macaroni, Sansui, TDK, TNN, Tuscan Farms and USX.

Please view the copy samples in the area of your needs, and also check out the unsolicited client testimonials on this web site.

You can feel confident that my writing will meet -- and exceed your expectations.
I guaranty it - in writing! Let's talk!

The most important advice I can give you.

1. Remember that the purpose of your business is
to create value, and thus, produce profits.

2. Know the truth about your product or service.

3. Successful marketing is about meeting your
customer's needs and showing how your
product or service adds value to their
lives --or provides a solution.

4. Remember that Benefits always
come before Features.

5. Don't sell. SOLVE!

When there's a clear understanding of what your product or service is and how it adds value to people's lives, solid marketing can be derived from it. Every product and service is different -- and individual. It's what sets you apart from the competition. But do you know what your difference is?

Take some time this week -- today even -- to refocus your thoughts on what your product or service really is, what it does, how it differs from the competition (if only slightly) -- and how it makes people's lives better. What kind of customer problem does it solve? And how do you solve it better, faster, cheaper? That's your USP (unique selling proposition) See how that difference can be a benefit to your audience -- a real value -- then focus your message on it. Build your marketing around it. Your marketing will be stronger -- and more effective. Guaranteed.

REMEMBER:
Solutions sell. Hype doesn't.

My background is a solid platform for your present needs.

Prior to opening my own writing and consulting business, I worked as a Writer and Creative Director in New York City. During that time, I won numerous national and international awards, and was elected to "Who's Who in Advertising" & "Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America." I also served as an Addy, Andy, Clio and One Show Awards judge for a number of years.

After 22 years of commuting, I decided to take an early exit from The Big Apple and go out on my own. My wife and I moved to Cape Cod 7 years ago, and wonder why we hadn't done it sooner.

Power-Packed Writing -- an added Plus for You!

I offer you the advantage of proven writing skills that can increase your sales and brand awareness. In New York City, I learned from the best: Ed McCabe, Larry Levenson, Evan Stark, Patrick Kelly, Andrew Langer, Marshall Karp, Sandy Haver -- and numerous others. I also spent a lot of lunch hours at the 4A's, reading everything I could about advertising and marketing.

When you become a client…

You get power-packed, sales producing copy -- plus an unexpected perk! -- i.e.: business meetings on Cape Cod. I'm sure you'll appreciate having meetings on the beach, or in an ocean-front café. And it's amazing how that 60 minute meeting can stretch into a whole day of relaxation with sea-breeze and sun.

These meetings will usually be on Fridays. And, as we all know, it's very difficult to travel in a westerly direction on that particular day of the week, when the sand is tugging at your shoes, the breeze is gently caressing you back into your beach chair, and the delicious aromas from a hundred different restaurants are turning your bowsprit to every successive point on the compass.

If you can't find time to get to the Cape, we can work by Phone, Fax, Fedex and e-mail. And once our new house is built in Brewster, you can earn vacation points for projects.

Tour this website and see what I've done for my clients. Then let's see what I can do for you. Send an e-mail - or give me a call at: 508-246-5566. I look forward to helping you put your sales into high gear.

Kind regards,

Bob Whitworth

P.S. Each day you delay improving your advertising and marketing materials, your competition gains another step on you -- or sprints ahead of you. Want to be in the lead -- or stay in the lead? Give me a call -- and get the Ad Pro advantage working for you today. You'll get a free constructive consultation on any one of your marketing tools as a freebie -- and there's no commitment on your part.

**On some days, I work with Habitat for Humanity as a carpenter. You can leave a message on my voicemail -- and I will get back to you ASAP.
