The Luwasa Hydroculture System uses a special kiln-fired clay aggregate known as Leca Expanded Clay. The plant roots grow in Leca, as they would in soil, feeding on a water and nutrient solution which the Leca draws up by capillary action, similar to that of a sponge.

Feeding your plants has never been easier. The six-month slow-release Nutrient Capsule contains ion-exchangeers that release the nutrients throughout the six-month period. Now there's no need to fuss with messy and harmful chemicals to feed your plants -- they grow right in the nitrient solution!

1) Thoroughly wash any dust from the Leca Clay Pebbles, allow them to absorbe the water and then partially fill the Cultivation Pot.

2) Carefully remove all earth from the roots and rinse gently with lukewarm water.

3) Place the Nutrient Capsule in the center of the outer Hydropot and position the Cultivation Pot on top.

4) Center your plant; gently spread and cover roots with clay pebbles. Add water, using the Hydrogauge as a guide -- and you're done!
